Refined Castor Oil Pale Pressed Grade (PPG)
Refined Castor Oil Pale Pressed Grade is the form of castor oil that is pure and free from any dust particles. It has slight or no odour and is usually found as colourless to very light-yellow liquid state.
Pale Pressed Castor Oil is used in industrial goods that need lighter-coloured and lower-acidity oil. It is most suitable for using in pharmaceutical application and in cosmetic use.
Application
- PHARMACEUTICAL AND DRUGS: Therapeutically, modern drugs are rarely given in a pure chemical state, so most active ingredients are combined with excipients or additives as lubricant component of coating for vitamin and mineral tablets. Pale Pressed Grade Castor Oil is also used in some of the pharma applications.
- FOOD AND PRESERVETIVE: In the food industry, castor oil is used in food additives, flavourings, as a mould inhibitor and as a natural food preservative for pulses and grains.
- COSMETIC INDUSTRY: The cosmetics industry is attracted by another virtue of castor oil: its nutritional yet non-irritating and skin friendly nature. Hence, it is preferred above other vegetable oils in the preparation of for example, skin lotion, soap, hair tonics and lipsticks.
